Miscarriage
Approximately 20% of pregnancies naturally end in miscarriage. If a heartbeat can’t be detected during your ultrasound, it’s possible that you may be experiencing a miscarriage. Whatever you may feel in that moment, Dodge City Pregnancy Support is here to support you. DCPS does not diagnose miscarriages.
Ectopic Pregnancy
In rare cases, the fertilized egg may implant outside of the uterus, such as on an ovary or in a fallopian tube. This is known as ectopic pregnancy, and requires immediate medical care. If left untreated, the affected area could rupture, causing shock and internal bleeding. Thankfully, 85% of ectopic pregnancies are discovered before a rupture occurs! DCPS does not diagnose ectopic pregnancies.
